A very famous name in designer jewelry since the 1800’s. The company is still in business today producing quality pieces than ever. The vintage Ciner necklace pictured above was probably made in the 1950’s, although dating it can be tricky. The necklace consists of 11 strands of ceramic aqua/blue beads connected with a basket weave medallion with an open box hidden clasp.  This hidden clasp was used on many pieces and can often identify a Ciner piece. The necklace is signed underneath the clasp.  The necklace is in excellent condition showing only slight wear marks underneath the open box clasp. The entire length of the necklace is about 18 1/2″ and can be twisted  as pictured above.  ( We have read that Elizabeth Taylor once purchased $20,000. worth of Ciner Jewelry in one day) This is a classic necklace and makes a very classic statement.
